Strawberry Fields is a unique 3-part workshop series based on the principles of somatic eco-therapy. Led by Kristine Lindell LMHC, and Sean Abramowitz tLMHC, this workshop takes place in a community garden and food forest. *You may sign up for one or two workshops individually, or continue with this package. PART ONE: -Exploring connection of our bodies to the earth through tactile meditation -Mindful weeding -Hand planting of new strawberries. PART TWO: -Deep look meditation -Embodied interaction with the landscape -Breath integrated movement while caring for the new strawberry plants. PART THREE: -Mindful harvesting and eating of the strawberries -Emotional deepening into joy and pleasure. All workshops will be held at the FOREST AVENUE OUTREACH, a local community garden project. The food we grow will be go towards fighting food insecurity in a low-income Des Moines neighborhood.
