Strawberry Fields is a unique 3-part workshop series based on the principles of somatic eco-therapy. Led by Kristine Lindell LMHC, and Sean Abramowitz tLMHC, this workshop takes place in a community garden and food forest. EACH WORKSHOP WILL CONSIST OF: -Opportunities for nervous system regulation: experience greater calm, relaxation & release in your mind and body. -Mindfulness practices integrated with nature: Become more present and grounded in yourself & the environment around you. -Working in the garden: Tune into the wisdom of your body through accessible physical work that benefits you, your community, and the planet.* -Community Building: Connect with other community members in nourishing ways. -Additional Retreats: Feel the benefits of your work, and connection to the gardens and community as your plants grow. *All activities will be an invitation, and this workshop is about serving your own physical and emotional needs. JOIN US AS WE CULTIVATE AND TEND TO OUR STRAWERRY PLANTS AND OURSELVES IN PART TWO OF THIS SERIES! PART TWO - "GROW": -Deep look meditation -Embodied interaction with the landscape -Breath integrated movement while caring for the new strawberry plants. All workshops will be held at the FOREST AVENUE OUTREACH, a local community garden project. The food we grow will be go towards fighting food insecurity in a low-income Des Moines neighborhood.
